 on october 30, 2025,
from 11h-17h
from 11h-17h
In echo with the symposium What is infrastructural critique? happening in Vienna on October 29-31, we will gather here at au JUS on October 30, expanding its space « in celebration of the life and work of Marina Vishmidt ». We’ll spend the morning reading and discussing « Speculative Infrastructures », the unpublished first chapter of Infrastructural Critique, and the afternoon with Taylor Le Melle and Marwa Arsanios’, streaming live from Vienna.
« The conference What is Infrastructural Critique? will feature artists, critical theorists and collaborators with Marina, who will come together to think through Marina’s concept of infrastructural critique, a materialist approach to the infrastructures of contemporary art oriented towards aesthetics and political struggle in all of its interconnected modes and scales. »
Au JUS program :
11am - 1.30pm Collective reading & discussion : Infrastructural Critique: Contemporary Art Between Reproduction and Abolition, forthcoming with Verso in 2026. Chapter 1 : « Speculative Infrastructures »
