workshop with Stefanie Salzmann

 On the occasion of queer sauna by Nobody’s Discipline moving into au jus for the next three months, you are invited to join us and make wool hats for the collective sauna use.

The participation is free, but registration is required. The wool material is kindly provided by Stefanie.

Stefanie Salzmanns artistic practice begins with materials and their story, such as her family's Blacknose sheep wool in Valais (CH), which has become a worthless byproduct of sheep farming.

She investigates the materiality and uses it for her tapestries and sculptures. The textiles explore the insulating and protective aspects of felt and speak about touch, the connection between people, plants, animals, the environment and the crafting process.
