SPELLS

For the first time artist Dani Bershan is sharing some of her SPELLS in Brussels - drawings and objects that have been slowly and patiently growing over the past six years.

As all of her works SPELLS are part of a dedicated lifelong practice of #rehearseconnection to train relational muscle, to be enchanted by the erotic entanglements of the world and the mind-blowingly complex relationalities they reveal if we allow ourselves to be present and listen.

Spells are speaking in-, with- from- and through- multitudes, aiming to perforate, metabolise and compost the boundaries of our prisons: subjectivity, certainty and neatly dissected categories and entities. SPELLS are medicines. They spill over, leak through and transform, patiently and playfully everything they touch.

For the closing on 03.11. there will be a SPELLING workshop from 14:30 - 17:30.

About the artist

Dani Bershan is an artist and independent researcher working on relational structures and the politics of intimacy on the intersection of art and ecology. Through her work – ranging from sculpture and performance to community facilitation and sound – she proposes practices of collective intimacy and care as a way to study and honour the complexity of interdependency and relational structures; She composes and holds potentia-spaces for sense-making practices and non-monotonic thinking. #rehearseconnection
